Located at the interface of the Canalside District, and Buffalo’s Central Business District, this project involved the adaptive re-use of the former State Offices Building. The adaptive re-use of the project consisted of removing the existing envelope, along with any non-permanent structural elements and renovation of the core spaces of elevators, stairs and bathrooms. The new envelope transforms the former rigid identity of the building into a collage of sustainable and durable materials. This project is slated to meet LEED Silver for core and shell.
The project is comprised of an eight story building with a total of 190,000 s.f. of mixed use space. Upper four floors: office tenant, Lower four floors: hotel rooms and amenities, Main ground floor: office lobby, hotel lobby, and restaurant
