The 1,445 s.f. (excluding basement) addition includes additional program spaces to meet OASAS recommended spatial requirements as well as organizing the existing program spaces for better usage. Its first floor provides a group counseling space, staff offices, recreational space, laundry and vertical circulation. The second floor provides a renovated bathroom and additional space for an existing multi-occupant bedrooms. The original, late 1800’s Italianate-styled historic home has a total area of 9,800 s.f. Careful attention was given so that this addition’s overall aesthetic, including the roof framing and asphalt shingle roof, matched the existing home. The clad-windows and poly-ash ship-lap siding were also complimentary to the existing façades; all in a concerted effort to provide a seamlessly flowing overall facility that does not seem to be added onto.
